Our Mission

Our Mission

Our group was founded in 2019 with the goal of providing  soil health education and improvement for local community members. Since 2019, PHISH have grown to a local working group spanning across six counties: Clay, Greene, Putnam, Sullivan, Vigo, and our newest member Morgan County.

With the help of SWCD employees, NRCS & USDA staff, and other local partners, PHISH has now become an established urban soil health group in west-central Indiana.

As a local working group, PHISH and its members are striving to provide soil health training, education and outreach. Look for upcoming workshop opportunities or give your local county a call for a free on-site evaluation.
